A Spring Farewell

img of A Spring Farewell

Spring has been so lovely this year
With sunsets caught in regrown trees
Thunder and reinvigorated lightning clash again
And clouds fill empty space in the rejuvenated sky

Spring has sprung, by all accounts
The old flowers’ reinvestments are finally paying off
Great geese have found their safe return home
And busy bees rebuild their golden hives once more

Is spring not so much like us?
Always redoing what it remembers from years past
Never losing its upbeat personality, even after winter
And still making time to be so warm and welcoming

We are the light caught in regrown trees
Glowing, guided, and grand
Meant to be found in little places and quiet moments
Enjoyed by all who get to gaze upon us

We are the thunder and reinvigorated lightning
Explosive, excited, and energized
Poised to pounce on new experiences
And yell out for all to hear, elated to share our joy

We are the clouds in a rejuvenated sky
Big, bold, and beautiful
Ready to float into any shape you could imagine
Free to be this or that, or nothing at all

We are reinvestments from our flowered past
Lush, loved, and lasting
Continuing to grow and grow
Into colors we never knew we could be

We are great geese that have returned to their homes
Determined, destined, and driven
Settling back into the same pond we’ve known for so long
And seeing friends new and old who gather there too

We are busy bees rebuilding our hives
Social, spirited, and skilled
Turning everything we touch into gold
And filling life with something sweet

Again, we are spring, we have sprung
And now, summer will soon be us too
Renewed, resilient, and ready
To restart all of our lovely traditions
Under the now full sun
