Self-Acceptance and Fear

img of Self-Acceptance and Fear
Lots of Somethings to Like

I hope someday
In some way
Somehow
I can write something
At some point
Sometime
That someone
From someplace
Somewhere
Somewhat seems to like

But sometimes
I somewhat forget
I’m someone too
And some days
I like my own somethings

A Bump in the Night

“If you don’t know
Why you’re afraid
Then why be afraid?”

It’s because I don’t know
Why I’m afraid
That I’m afraid

A Note

Sometimes we chase accomplishments not for the joy in success, but to quiet the fear of self-doubt.

You wake up, get out of bed, and now, you must keep moving.
You graduate high school, you get your college diploma, and now, you must keep working.
You learn to run, you complete a race, and now, you must go further.

This is not the pace of a peaceful life; there’s no catching your breath if you’re always in a race.

Never forget each time you wake up, each time you change, each time you do, and each time you accomplish something you see as difficult. As time passes, those things fall behind you, but that doesn’t mean they’re not still you.

Let your wins run alongside you instead of fear and doubt; you’ll go further with a consistent tailwind than you ever could sprinting from one finish line to the next.
