Use your two cents to buy a cake mix
Stir it in a pot
Drop in the cookie however it crumbles
And eat it too
Have the hand that feeds you
Serve it hot
So you can bite it with revenge
Then wait
For the iron to get cold to strike again
If you can’t stand the heat in the kitchen
Stay in the frying pan to avoid the fire
Until you add fuel to your burning bridges
And dam up the water under them
Then fall through with your plans
To whatever floats the same boat we’re all in
Paddle it up the creek
Then toss the paddle to wake sleeping dogs
Bark up the right tree
Knocking on the wood
Before you can try the apple
As it falls far enough to poke the bear
Then run from the hills
You helped the moles make
Jumping over the elephant in the room
Straight to conclusions
I mean to beat around the bush
When all’s not said and done
Take this recipe made from disaster
With more than a grain of salt
As you can’t make an omelet
Without breaking a few eggs
